Im thinking about becoming a stripper…?
Im 25 and just graduated with my masters…im pretty and obviously well educated…im having trouble finding a job…there are too many professors already in this town…this weekend i went to a strip club with a shy male friend…i actually had a blast…see i used to be very religious and modest…i got married young…he left me…im in a good relationship now…or at least better than before…i got up on stage and danced (with clothes on of course after paying a dancer)…i personally love to dance and have been considering going to their amateur night that is tomorrow…have i lost my mind? Please either try to talk me out of this or be supportive…and please dont be smart im not an airhead…im thinking about money and dancing and just trying to sort this out and figure out why im suddenly fascinated with that world…
It’s probably a bad idea. If you’re having a problem finding a job now, being a dancer is not going to make you more hirable.
If you just want (or need) to explore this world, then do what you have to do. But you probably should consider doing it as a hobby, but not as a profession. I guarantee the money will not be as good or as easy to earn as you’ve heard.
If you do go into dancing, you ought to think of it as a temporary position. You will almost certainly be getting pushed out by younger women by the time you’re thirty.
So, once again, I think it’s a bad idea.
