Bindings Boots
Does it matter what kinds of boots and bindings I buy for my snowboard?
I got a slightly used snowboard for Christmas, and I don’t like the boots and bindings I have, so does it really matter what brand/kind/style boots I buy? Or if they’re mens or womens?
Yes and no. Binding and board compatibility only matter if the bindings fit the board, and if it’s a Burton board with ICS you need EST bindings. With boots just get whatever feels comfy, and get bindings that fit the boot well. Women’s gear is designed especially for women. The boots are shaped differently for a women’s foot, and the gear is usually lighter, softer, etc. because women weigh less. Getting male bindings won’t make much difference if they fit your boots, but you will notice a difference with male boots, and a slight difference depending on the board.
