how to remove plastic part inside delta double handle faucet?

I have removed the handle, the nut, and cannot remove the white and grey thing (the screw I guess?) thanks.

If you are speaking of the stem, a small plastic tubular piece that sits down inside the handle base, you just grab it with a pair of pliers and pull up. You may have to wiggle it back and forth a lil bit
