Egypt, local beer and alchohol?

Going to Egypt this Friday all inc, what does the local beer taste like? same with the spirits thanks

Local beer is great stuff, and so it should be they invented the stuff many thousands of years ago, in fact I worked in Egypt, Sinai for 5 years, a free beer ration was part of the deal, One crate per week 12 litres, not enough really.
I don’t recall any local spirits, but plenty of imported stuff.
