Inflatable Tube
does anyone know if a rib that doesnt have inflatable tubes but tubes that are filled with some kind of foam?
if u have a name of any manufacturer that fills their tubes with some kind of flotation foam, like foam ruber or something like that.
Yes, in the late 90′s Boston Whaler built what looked like a RIB or RHIB but the tubes were actually made from a foam like material and therefore could not puncture. It was called the Impact. They were sold to government agencies. Not sure if they still make them. Some other companies might still make them for military and law enforcement use. Look up the Gilman Corporation as they supply this material and it is listed in their product line.
