Will my little bass boat pull a tube/ski?

I have an old 15′ Skeeter bass boat with a Johnson Javelin 85hp engine on it that will run about 40mph. My buddy is always trying to get me to pull him on a tube, ski, wakeboard, but I’m not sure if it will. You think it will be ok if it will do it at all?

I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. One of my friends has a 16′ Nitro with a 75hp Merc and he pulls a skier or a tube with no issues at all. The only think you may have to do is get a lower pitched prop so you can get up to speed quicker to pop the skier up.
