How much difference does a wake tower make?

I have been trying to wakeboard and jump a kneeboard the last few days and couldn’t do either. Also how much difference does a pointy nosed kneeboard make for doing jumps and things? Thanks.

For the wakeboard part, a tower won’t really help getting up or help you jumping at first, but when you start catching BIG air it will help keep you in the air by not pulling you down when you’re way above the rope attachment.
