Tube Tow

Tube Tow
Can I tow an inner-tube behind my Kawasaki 750sx standup?

I have a 1992 kawasaki 750sx with a rebuilt motor. I have 2 single inner-tubes. Is it okay to tow them behind the standup jet ski? Has anyone ever done this?
whould it be okay with just 1 tube?
i am not so much concerned about the legal issues, but can the engine handle it?

Yes, I’ve done this before for tube and kneeboard WAY back in 1995-1996 with mounted mirrors on the standup PWC. That was 1 year before the laws in our area changed to require 3 seater PWC with mirrors, and a spotter onboard to tow ANYBODY.

Now, towing anything with a standup PWC is outlawed in almost all US states because you have no ability to see the person towed with mirrors, and you have no room for a spotter.

In short, if you try this, you will get easily get caught and fined heavily for it. Park rangers in most areas, especially federal lakes have the authority to issue citiations (tickets) and can seize vessels for certain violations.

Believe me, they patrol a lot more than you think.
