What would you rather have?

1. Waverunner (1998, 3-person size, stable, easily towable and easy to take in and out of the water for short trips)

With gas the way it is unless you need the extra room the waverunner is the way to go. You can still ski/wakeboard off the back and for the reasons you mentioned above it is much more portable.
